Jennifer offers extensive counsel in regard to estate planning. She is a valued resource for clients as she designs and implements estate plans to help achieve their tax and planning objectives, including transferring assets from generation to generation, planning for incapacity, and structuring estate plans for blended families.
Her comprehensive trusts and estates practice includes the development and implementation of core estate planning documents including powers of attorney, advanced health care directives, wills and revocable trusts, as well as irrevocable life insurance trusts, qualified personal residence trusts, premarital agreements, family business entities, and buy-sell agreements for family businesses.
Jennifer has been certified by the South Carolina Supreme Court as a specialist in Estate Planning and Probate Law. She has served as the Chair of the Probate, Estate Planning and Trust Section Council of the S.C. Bar, and as the chair of the Estate Planning and Probate Specialization Advisory Board for the South Carolina Supreme Court Commission on CLE.
Jennifer is currently a member of the inaugural class of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel’s Southeast Fellows Institute. She is a 2013 graduate of the Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Columbia Program.
